The NSSA now delivers a one day courses each year on restoration for field crews and volunteers from all of the projects covering the requirement to follow the permit conditions and the restoration design as laid out on the ground by restoration biologist, ecology of the watercourses, and how the restoration techniques improve the health of the aquatic ecosystem and supervised instream hands on installation of the techniques they are going to be using. The NSSA prepares and holds a multi site NSE Watercourse Alteration Approval that covers all the projects that have our involvement. Sites are checked by our restoration staff during the summer and any deficiencies corrected.
