The 2017 project has three parts. One is a major armour rocking job on the West River, this site has been severely eroded over the past few years and further erosion may result in the loss of an important salmon pool. The second part of the project is doing restoration work with a crew on the East Branch of the Pomquet River. Work was completed in this stream in 2014 and 2015, and involved armour rocking. Finally the 2017 project will focus on maintenance of existing habitat restoration structures.
